Antoine Winfield Jr. did it again.

Last season, Winfield made an interception in the end zone, sealing a Gophers’ victory over Fresno State at TCF Bank Stadium. This year, he did the exact same thing.

After Minnesota took a 38-35 in double overtime, Jorge Reyna floated a pass high in the air on first down to what appeared to be a wide open receiver in the end zone. But Winfield was able to cover enough ground and intercept the pass before the ball reached the receciver.

Gophers win.

What an unbelievable play and an outstanding way for Winfield to put an exclamation point on the head-to-head series.

Minnesota is now 2-0 on the season with its next game coming against Georgia Southern.
