Penn State punter Blake Gillikin is offering his condolences and well wishes to Buffalo punter Evan Finegan, who suffered a gruesome leg injury in Saturday night’s matchup between the two teams.
In the second half of Saturday’s game between the Bulls and Nittany Lions, Finegan was carted off the field after suffering an awful injury during a blocked punt attempt by PSU running back Journey Brown. The injury was so disturbing, the crew on FOX didn’t replay it.
On Sunday, Gillkin tweeted out his well wishes to Finegan, hoping the Buffalo punter would have a speedy recovery.
“Please keep [Evan Finegan] in your thoughts and prayers today and continue to do so throughout his recovery,” Gillikin wrote. “God has a plan for you brother, turn this into an unbelievable comeback.”

Finegan has been Buffalo’s punter since 2018, lining up at the position in all 14 games last season. He punted 52 times last for with a 41.75 yards per kick average.

This season, Finegan had six punts in two games, four of which came in Saturday’s game against Penn State before leaving with the injury.
Penn State defeated Buffalo 45-13 Saturday night.
