The NFL season may be underway, but teams are still making moves as they try and plug holes moving forward.
One such player signed in the wake of Week 1 is Akeem Spence. The former Illini defensive lineman is entering his seventh NFL season. Unfortunately, he was cut by Miami ahead of the regular season.
It turns out he did not have to wait for long to find a new team. The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Twitter Tuesday that they have agreed to terms with Spence. One of the reasons for the quick signing was Philadelphia’s move to place Malik Jackson on injured reserve after a Week 1 injury:

Spence has 10.5 career sacks and 34 QB hits in 88 career games. He played for Illinois from 2010-12.
