Wisconsin’s Zander Neuville has unfortunate news following another injury

Wisconsin Badgers tight end Zander Neuville announced on Twitter on Wednesday that he has suffered another injury, this one ending his playing career.

After suffering season-ending ACL tears – one to each knee – in 2017 and 2018, Neuville was granted a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA in August.
“Football just wasn’t meant to be,” Neuville said.
“But I have no regrets about trying again.”
A native of Waupaca, Wisconsin, Neuville was a member of Wisconsin’s 2014 class. Appearing in 10 games over four seasons, he caught 10 passes for 84 yards and two touchdowns. He also saw the field on defense in 11 games, recording two tackles.
The 2019 Badgers are off to a roaring 2-0 start. Having defeated USF and Central Michigan a combined 110-0, they are idle on Saturday before hosting Michigan on September 21.
