Indiana knows it desperately needs a balanced attack against Ohio State, and no one is more aware of that than offensive lineman Coy Cronk.

The Buckeyes enter Saturday’s showdown ranked No. 6 in the country behind an electric offense and strong defense. Coming off of a shutout of Cincinnati in Week 2, Ohio State’s defense will not lack any confidence when taking on the Hoosiers.

The defensive front of the Buckeyes is led by Chase Young, and he anchors a strong pass rush. Cronk knows in order to keep them off-balance, Indiana will need to get the ground game going consistently. The moment the Hoosiers become one dimensional will allow Ohio State’s rush to takeover:

Indiana is averaging 131 rushing yards per game to start the season, and the Hoosiers will need to at least come close to that total if they have any hopes of upsetting the Buckeyes. Getting star running back Stevie Scott going would be a great start.

Scott has just 109 rushing yards on the year after eclipsing 100 yards in six games as a freshman. He ran for 64 yards in last year’s loss to the Buckeyes.
