The baseball season is a long one.

In the MLB, teams play 162 regular season games. For one of those games — on Friday, Sept. 13 against the Baltimore Orioles to be exact — the Detroit Tigers are holding a University of Michigan day.

What exactly does it mean?

If you buy a package, you get a ticket to the game, a Detroit Tigers/University of Michigan baseball cap and a combined donation to the Pat Maloy Scholarship fund. The baseball cap appears to be the one that Carr is wearing in the video above.

More information on the event can be found here.

Lloyd Carr, who is helping spread the message on Twitter, coached the Wolverines from 1995-2007, amassing an overall record of 122-40.
