Country music superstar Eric Church has been announced as the guest picker for Saturday’s edition of College GameDay from Ames, Iowa for the matchup between the Iowa State Cyclones and the No. 19 Iowa Hawkeyes.
A three-time Country Music Association Award-winner, Saturday will be Church’s third appearance as a guest picker on the show. Last appearing on GameDay in 2016 for the Clemson Tigers’ matchup with the Louisville Cardinals, Church has posted a 14-7 record with his selections.
Host Rece Davis welcomed Church back on Twitter:
Great vibe around Ames as we get ready for @CollegeGameDay. Crowd will be huge. Matt Campbell will join us. And pleased to have country music superstar @ericchurch as our guest picker for the Cy-Hawk. See you Saturday morning!

Iowa State is hosting GameDay for the first time in school history. Surviving a 29-26 triple-overtime scare from Northern Iowa on August 31, the Cyclones were idle last week.
