This is definitely good news for the Illini.
Illinois is getting set to take on Eastern Michigan in Week 3 and was waiting to find out the status of star running back Reggie Corbin. Corbin missed Week 2 against UConn due to injury which was a big blow, especially considering the season-ending injury to Mike Epstein in the season opener.
Thankfully, head coach Lovie Smith announced Saturday morning that Corbin is healthy for Eastern Michigan. It is worth noting that Smith did not say Corbin was starting, but he labeled him healthy and someone the Illini will need on the field Saturday.
