Fans in East Lansing were not pleased with the product they saw on the field on Saturday night. A 10-7 loss for Michigan State at the hands of Arizona State brought back all the old offensive questions we had about the Spartans entering the 2019 season.
After the game, SB Nation’s The Only Colors website — A site devoted to Michigan State coverage — fired off an angry tweet after the game, saying something a lot of Spartans fans were probably thinking. Below is the tweet:
We were fooled last week. Sick and tired of seeing a once-in-a-generation type defense wasted away by an offense incapable of scoring enough points to win a game.

Last week, Michigan State put 51 points on Western Michigan in what was the team’s best offensive performance in five years. But it all came to a crashing end on Saturday in the home loss to Arizona State.
Offensive lineman Tyler Higby scrolled across the tweet from The Only Colors, and wasn’t too happy with what he read. He issued a statement to the website, and basically other fans who were overly critical of Saturday’s loss.
“Then leave,” Higby wrote. “We don’t want fake ass fans in November.”
We’re only three weeks into the season, and Michigan State still has all of its goals in front of it. But the loss to Arizona State stirred up some bad memories for Spartans fans on Saturday night.
But if you’re tired of what you see, Higby suggests you go find something else to do. He’s not big on bandwagon fans.
