Penn State fans hoping to get a behind-the-scenes look at their favorite college football program will have their wishes granted later this year.
On Wednesday, Doug Haller of The Athletic reported that Penn State will be one of four teams featured in the all-access series featured on HBO. The other three programs include Florida, Arizona State and Washington State. The series is set to air in October.
It had been rumored previously that Penn State would be one of the featured programs, but this seems to be the official word from HBO.

The episode featuring Penn State is scheduled to be the second in the series and will air on Oct. 9. The series will begin on Oct. 2 with Florida. Arizona State will be featured on Oct. 16 with Washington State being the last of the four on Oct. 23.
HBO’s “Hard Knocks” documentary series in which it follows and NFL team during training camp has become quite popular over the years, and this appears to have a similar concept.
It should be interesting television, for sure.
