Malik Harrison is an incredibly talented linebacker at Ohio State.

He may have only been a three-star prospect coming out of high school, but right now, as a senior in 2019, Harrison is proving that he belongs in scarlet and gray. Through three games this season, he has racked up 14 tackles, 6 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He is truly coming into his own.

Ohio State LBs coach Al Washington had nothing but good things to say about Harrison:

“I’m honest,” he said. I think he has the ability, but you have to exercise that ability every day.”

Harrison has had confidence instilled in him from Washington, as well as coach Ryan Day.

“It means a lot,” Harrison said on Washington’s comment. “I made the comment last year at the Rose Bowl. I felt like I can, and him just bringing in more confidence for me, just saying that. He believes in me.

“Last couple games I started to build up my confidence, and these first three games I’m just building up every day, stacking my chips,” Harrison said.

The best may be yet to come for Harrison. The ability and chance to play is in front of him and if he has the confidence to go with it, the sky is the limit. He believes that in not only himself, but the entire Buckeye defense:

“We still have a chip on our shoulder,” Harrison said. “We can never just let up. The first three games, we just still have to get better. We are not even playing our best ball yet.”
