The emotional, heartbreaking story of Wendy Anderson’s battle with cancer was a featured story on College GameDay on Saturday, perfectly told by ESPN’s Tom Rinaldi.

Wendy Anderson, the wife of Arkansas State head coach Blake Anderson, passed away earlier this year after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She had fought the disease for two years.

Blake Anderson took a leave of absence from coaching in the final days of his wife’s life, wanting to spend as much time with her as possible. After Wendy’s passing, Blake returned to the sideline to coach his team with the support of his family, friends, coaching staff, players and community.
