You tend to see some pretty interesting things in college football, and Saturday night’s game between Nebraska and Illinois in Champaign was no exception.

Late in the first quarter, Illinois was faced with a 3rd-and-2, looking to pick up a few yards to keep possession of the football by picking up a few yards. But the Illini tried to do it in a really unconventional way.

Peters took the snap and rolled out, but nobody else on the offensive line moved. Peters took a big shot and the result was an Illinois punt.

It’s not really clear whether Illinois attempted to catch Nebraska off guard or if the Illini thought Nebraska moved offsides before the snap. either way, the result was a painful hit on Peters and the end of the possession.

As BTN says in the video, that’s something you don’t see every day. Peters is hoping he never sees it again.
