Dedrick Mills uses brutal stiff-arm during impressive TD run

Nebraska trailed Illinois in the second half, but the Cornhuskers continue to fight back against the Illini.

This time, it was running back Dedrick Mills who scored for Nebraska to cut into the lead. After starting running back Maurice Washington left due to injury, Mills has received most of the carries in the second half.

On this play, Mills took a pitch around the left side and darted 14 yards for the touchdown. What made the play impressive and what paved the way for Mills’ score was a vicious stiff-arm to one Illinois defender.

He delivered it right to the helmet of the would-be tackler, pushing him aside as he rumbled for the score:
