We are already heading into Week 5 which means the Heisman Trophy race is heating up!
Obviously, there is plenty of time to make a statement for the prestigious award, but it is also worth noting that certain players have shined – or struggled – to begin the season.
One player of note is Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Entering the season with huge expectations, Lawrence has thrown just seven touchdowns to five interceptions through four games. With a fairly weak ACC schedule remaining, there is plenty of time for Lawrence turn things around.
On the other side of things, Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields has shined to start the year. Through four games, Fields is responsible for 19 touchdowns and has lost just one fumble. Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor is also putting up strong numbers with 440 yards rushing and 10 total touchdowns through three games.

Moving forward, the odds to win the Heisman Trophy have been updated. Brett McMurphy with the Stadium Sports Network shared the odds, and Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa remains the favorite. Fields and Taylor checked in fourth and seventh respectively.
