Salt in the wound: Tuesday marks the 25th anniversary of ‘The Miracle at Michigan’

The bad week for Michigan will continue Tuesday with the 25th anniversary of “The Miracle at Michigan,” one of the most craziest endings to a game and improbable Michigan losses in college football history.

For those unfamiliar with the play, Colorado trailed Michigan by five with six seconds remaining on Sept. 24, 1994. On a desperation heave, Buffaloes quarterback Kordell Stewart tossed a Hail-Mary attempt more than 70 yards in the air, where Michael Westbrook caught the ball in the end zone to win, 27-26.

Colorado scored two touchdowns in the final 2:16 to complete the comeback. Watch the amazing 25-year-old play below:

Maybe college football announcer Tim Brando is right? With anniversaries like this, things aren’t going to get better at Michigan until they get worse.
