Khaleke Hudson discusses moving on from Wisconsin: ‘One loss doesn’t define us’

As bad as it was Saturday, it remains true that one loss does not define any season.
It’s no secret that Wisconsin was the better team in Week 4. After both teams were idle in Week 3, the Badgers came out and rolled the Wolverines in a thoroughly dominating performance.

Fortunately, one single loss does not effectively end Michigan’s season. On Tuesday, senior linebacker Khaleke Hudson addressed the loss and claimed it would not define this team. Hudson pointed to 2018’s 10-game winning streak after losing in Week 1 as evidence that this team can rebound.
Ryan Zuke with MLive shared Hudson’s comments:
“The discussion has been just staying together,” Michigan captain Khaleke Hudson said. “One loss doesn’t define us. We had one loss last year and ended up going on a 10-game winning streak.
“It is early in the season. It is nothing to harp on. There’s no reason to panic or nothing. We know what we gotta do and know what we can do.”
While everything Hudson had to say is true, fans obviously remember what happened against Ohio State after last year’s big winning streak. And while the team may not be panicking, the margin for error to compete for any sort of title this season is now razor-thin. No two-loss team has ever made the College Football Playoff, and an early B1G loss puts an early handicap on Michigan’s shot at the B1G East title.
Hopefully, Hudson and company are able to rebound and compete moving forward. With a handful of games on the schedule against ranked opponents, it will not be an easy task.
