NFL confirms Super Bowl halftime performers for this season’s game in Miami

Taking place on February 2, 2020, the halftime performers for Super Bowl LIV were revealed on Thursday.

Born in The Bronx, New York, Lopez has sold more than 80 million records worldwide and her films have grossed more than three billion dollars combined. She is also engaged to former Major League Baseball All-Star and Most Valuable Player, Alex Rodriguez – a noted Miami Hurricanes fan.

Another Latin superstar, Shakira was born in Columbia and released her debut album when she was only 13-years-old. Winning three Grammy Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards, she also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

This season’s game will be the 11th time the Super Bowl has been held in Miami. The last time the city hosted the game, Super Bowl VLIV in 2010, the New Orleans Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts, 31-17.

Led by former Michigan Wolverine Tom Brady, the New England Patriots are the reigning Super Bowl champions, thanks to their victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII on February 3, 2019.
