With ESPN’s “College GameDay” on-campus for the first time since 2007, the 3-1 Nebraska Cornhuskers have a tremendous opportunity in front of them when they host the No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes (4-0) on Saturday (7:30PM ET, ABC).

Hosting 11 recruits on their official visits over the weekend, defensive line coach Tony Tuioti spoke with Husker247 about the importance of Saturday night.

“The game day experience here is great, especially at night time. The last game we had here against Northern Illinois the recruits loved it, they took so many pictures and the fireworks, the atmosphere is unique in itself.

“It’s hard to find that type of atmosphere anywhere in the country. There’s only a few programs that can produce that, and we’ll have an atmosphere again this week and it is going to be a great recruiting tool for us.”

One of the most iconic stadiums in college football, Tuioti also spoke about the role Memorial Stadium’s history plays in recruiting.

“That’s one of the great things about coming here to Nebraska and we use that as a strength to recruit. To be able to have a stadium that’s been sold out since 1962, or whatever it is, that’s a great feat to have. So we use that to our advantage. And if kids want to play in front of a packed house each and every week, why not come to Nebraska?”
