We were supposed to have numerous exciting games in the Big Ten this past week. What happened?
Well, Ohio State certainly destroyed Nebraska. Purdue made it a game against Minnesota without its top QB and WR, while Wisconsin didn’t look as indestructible again Northwestern, though the Badgers came away with a win.
Penn State absolutely crushed Maryland to start the week on Friday night.

So, where does the ESPN’s FPI see these teams?
Each week, the FPI updates and gives an overall number displaying how good a team is. This week, Alabama and Ohio State were a notch above every other team in the country:
- Alabama
- Ohio State
- Clemson
- Georgia
- Oklahoma
- LSU
- Auburn
- Penn State
- Notre Dame
- Oregon
- Wisconsin
- Florida
- Washington
- Michigan
- Michigan State
- Texas A&M
- Iowa
- Utah
- Missouri
- UCF

There are six Big Ten teams making up the top 25 now according to the FPI (and realistically six in the top 17). Next in for the B1G is Minnesota at No. 40.
The entire FPI can be seen here.
