Losing to the No. 20 Michigan Wolverines, 52-0, on Saturday, Rutgers finally made the decision to part ways with head coach Chris Ash on Sunday.

Midway through his fourth season in Piscataway, Ash ends his tenure with an 8-32 (3-26 B1G) record.

Unsurprisingly, social media was not caught off guard by the move and got some typical jabs in at the Scarlet Knights.

Tight ends coach Nunzio Campanile will serve as the interim coach for the remainder of the season.

Falling to 1-3 on the season with the loss to the Wolverines, Rutgers hosts Maryland (2-2) on Saturday (12:00PM ET, BTN).
