Each week, the Football Writers Association of America names its national team of the week.
For Week 5, there were a number of teams that looked incredibly impressive. In the Big Ten alone, Penn State crushed Maryland Friday night and both Michigan and Iowa slammed its opponents in Rutgers and Middle Tennessee respectively.
Ohio State, however, was on during prime-time and had to travel to take on a Nebraska team that had loads of confidence. The atmosphere was electric. ESPN’s College GameDay was there.

And with all of that in mind, the Buckeyes still won 48-7. It was never in doubt. Ohio State dominated Nebraska.
On Monday, the FWAA named its Team of the Week:

We shouldn’t be too surprised here. Again, everybody was watching and some thought at the beginning of the year that these teams could meet in the Big Ten Championship.
If that was a preview of what’s to come at the end of the year for this conference, that’s not good (for Nebraska and the Big Ten West division at least).
