Kirk Herbstreit has 2 B1G teams on his list of top performers from Week 5

Week 5 had plenty of excitement to go around.
It was a busy weekend around the B1G as plenty of teams came up with telling performances. Now that the dust has settled, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit has unveiled his top 10 team performances of the week.
At the top of his list was Ohio State. That comes as no surprise considering how the Buckeyes dispatched of Nebraska 48-7 in Lincoln.

Also on Herbstreit’s list was Minnesota at No. 7. The Gophers wound up cutting it a little close against Purdue after getting outscored 21-10 in the second half, but it was probably the strong work of Tanner Morgan and Minnesota’s offense that attracted Herbstreit’s attention.

The notable omission from Herbstreit’s list was Penn State. The No. 12 Nittany Lions rolled into Maryland Friday night and shutout Maryland by a final score of 59-0. Apparently, that was not impressive enough to make this list.
