With Urban Meyer on the road recruiting, he didn’t have any public comment on the issue. He said through a team spokesman that he would address the issue internally on Friday when the Buckeyes resume practice.
Washington was one of the critical pieces of a Buckeye defense that stayed in the top 10 in yards allowed nearly all of 2015. He’s also projected to be a potential first-round draft pick.
It remains to be seen whether or not he’ll face suspension from Meyer.
With or without Washington, the Buckeyes will take on Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl on New Year’s Day.
