Northwestern QB Aidan Smith takes responsibility for game-changing interception against Nebraska
The ending of the Northwestern-Nebraska game was a wild one.

Northwestern went with Aidan Smith at quarterback as opposed to Hunter Johnson and Smith made a few plays to keep Northwestern in the game. The contest was tied 10-10 until 1:00 remained in the game.
At that point, Smith threw a pass that ultimately got intercepted and a few plays later, Nebraska would kick the game-winning field goal. 13-10. Game over.
Here’s the interception, by the way, which many have said a defensive pass interference should have been called:

Looks like pass interference, no?
After the game, Smith was asked about the play in its entirety:
Smith on the DPI no-call: "I made a poor decision…would I have liked the pass interference call? Yes. Would I like that throw back? Yes."

Credit to Smith for taking responsibility here. He says he made a poor decision, and realistically, he probably did. The outcome of the game suggests that.
However, pass interference undoubtedly should have been called. Regardless, Smith is owning up to what happened.
