Have you ever seen a Hail Mary be successful at the end of a game and end up winning a team the game?
Of course you have. It’s amazing, isn’t it? Well, unless you’re on the losing side of the play. But regardless, it is about as thrilling of an ending as you can have in a football game.

On Saturday, that exact circumstance took place between Grand Valley State and Ashland. The call of the play unfolding from the booth, however, was incredibly less thrilling than you would imagine.
Even watching as an outsider with absolutely no stake in the game had a bigger reaction than what was conveyed:

Again, where is the excitement?
“This is caught. For a touchdown. I can’t believe it.”
Are you sure you can’t believe it? Because it’s almost as though you knew for a fact that this would not only be caught, but that this play is supposed to work and end the football game.
