Nebraska may have had huge expectations coming into the season, but through six weeks, the Huskers are 4-2. Not horrible, of course, but, expectations were higher.
Nebraska’s offense hasn’t fired on all cylinders consistently this season partially due to quarterback Adrian Martinez. Martinez had Nebraska tied with Northwestern in the third quarter this past weekend and then suffered an apparent knee injury.

Nebraska went on to win the game 13-10 without Martinez leading the Huskers. Noah Vedral — who played under Scott Frost at UCF — took over in Martinez’s absence.
On Monday, Vedral was quoted as saying that he was taking first-team reps right now in practice:
Adrian Martinez takes the "vast majority" of reps with first-string offense when he's fully healthy, Vedral said.
He said he thinks Martinez's status is "day to day" this week.

Frost also spoke with the media about Martinez:
Frost says they’ll make a decision on Adrian Martinez later in the week.
“We feel good if we have to go with Noah or Luke.”

Frost: "We'll let the week develop and see where Adrian is." Says they feel good if Vedral and McCaffrey are called upon.
