Things appear to be set up nicely for Tyrrell Pigrome as he gets ready to return as starter behind center in Week 7. He will face a Purdue defense that is ranked 13th in points allowed and last in total yards yielded in the B1G. Nationally, the Boilermakers are also 113th in yards allowed and 117th in passing yards permitted.
Pigrome has appeared in five games this season, going 17 for 27 on pass attempts for 171 yards with one touchdown and zero interceptions. Last season, Pigrome went 37-of-67 for 561 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He started the final two games of the season after fellow signal caller Kasim Hill suffered a knee injury.
Jackson is day-to-day with the ankle sprain he suffered this past Saturday against Rutgers. Jackson has completed about 51 percent of his passes for 968 yards and 10 touchdowns with four interceptions.
Maryland enters this week 3-2. The Terrapins will kick off against the Boilermakers at 12 ET on Saturday.
