Each year, the Golden Arm Award is handed to the top senior college quarterback.
On Tuesday, the top 20 candidates were revealed:
As you can see, three quarterbacks from the Big Ten are on the list:
- Brian Lewerke, Michigan State
- Shea Patterson, Michigan
- Nate Stanley, Iowa

Lewerke has helped lead the Spartans to a 4-2 record and is completing 58 percent of his passes. He has thrown for 1,543 yards, 11 TD and 2 INT.
Patterson, over at Michigan, has the Wolverines off to a 4-1 start and is completing 58 percent of his throws as well while throwing for 1,052 yards, 6 TD and 3 INT. Patterson has also rushed for 38 yards and 3 TD this season.
Stanley has helped get the Hawkeyes to a 4-1 start and will try and get Iowa to a 5-1 start when it hosts Penn State this Saturday night. Stanley has completed 1,225 yards while throwing 8 TD and 3 INT.
Last year, Washington State’s Gardner Minshew won the Golden Arm Award.
