Though it hasn’t always been pretty, the Wolverines have rebounded to a nice 4-1 record heading into Week 7.

Obviously, there is still plenty for Michigan to work on and improve moving forward. The offense was hardly efficient with just 10 points scored against Iowa. Fortunately, the defense was even better, holding the Hawkeyes to just three points.

Quarterback Shea Patterson took time to address where the Wolverines are at after practice Tuesday, and he highlighted the many different situations Michigan has already been in this season. An overtime win over Army, a tough loss on the road to Wisconsin, and a tight game at home against Iowa have already created a ‘battle-tested’ Michigan squad.

“We’ve been through a lot through the first 5 games of the season,” said Patterson. “With OT, with on the road, played in some tight games. I think we’re battle-tested at this point, and we’re just gonna go out there and play and try and control what we can control.”

Angelique Chengelis with the Detroit News shared the video of Patterson’s comments:

Hopefully, those early tests prove fruitful for Michigan. The Wolverines have a trip to Illinois on tap for Week 7 before back-to-back games against current top 10 teams in Penn State and Notre Dame.
