Joe Burrow is currently among the favorites to compete for the Heisman Trophy this season, and he had quite the journey to LSU.

The current star signal-caller for the Tigers began his career at Ohio State. After spending three years with the Buckeyes, he eventually transferred to LSU as Dwayne Haskins took over the starting position following JT Barrett.

During a recent sitdown interview that was aired on College GameDay, Burrow was asked about his connections to Nebraska. His father, Jim Burrow, was a defensive back for the Huskers during the 1970s.

Burrow was asked how much interest Nebraska showed during his recruitment in high school. His response? It was blunt and very brief:

“None…none,” said Burrow. He declined to make any comment beyond that with a brief chuckle.

Burrow was a four-star dual-threat QB for the class of 2015. He decided to originally stay home with Ohio State, but one has to wonder if he would have been interested in Nebraska if the Cornhuskers had shown interest in him.

Burrow has thrown for over 4,700 yards and 38 TDs in 18 games with the Tigers.
