Appearing on The Final Drive, former Ohio State linebacker and current BTN analyst Joshua Perry had some high praise for the defense of the No. 8 Wisconsin Badgers.

BTN shared Perry’s comments on Twitter:

Recording their fourth shutout of the season in just six games, the No. 8 Badgers routed Michigan State, 38-0, on October 12.

Michigan State redshirt senior Brian Lewerke, the team’s starting quarterback, completed just 7-16 passes for 53 yards before being replaced by redshirt sophomore Rocky Lombardi.

Not faring much better, Lombardi connected on 5-14 attempts for 66 yards.

Improving to 6-0 with the win over the Spartans, Wisconsin’s defense is allowing just 4.8 points per game. Holding opponents to under two-yards per carry, the Badgers are surrendering just 44.7 yards per game on the ground.

Looking to remain undefeated and in the College Football Playoff conversation, Wisconsin will travel to Champaign to face Illinois (2-4) on October 19 (12:00PM ET, BTN).
