Michigan State has been under plenty of heat over the last 24 hours. A second straight blowout loss, this time to Wisconsin, has resulted in some serious criticism for the Spartans and head coach Mark Dantonio.

Defensive tackle Naquan Jones is tired of the criticism. On Sunday morning, the Spartan football player took to Twitter to call out the Michigan State fans who have been overly critical of the team’s performance this season.

“I don’t understand why these fake ass ‘Spartan Nation’ fans always have so much to say,” Jones wrote in a tweet. “Unless you’re strapping up pads to play alongside me you should keep your comments to yourself. We work everyday to get criticized by people I bet haven’t even played 1 snap of football.”

Fans weren’t the only individuals criticizing Michigan State’s performance on Saturday. Former players Jerel Worthy and Javon Ringer were also harsh on Dantonio and company after the 38-0 loss to Wisconsin.

Michigan State has struggled mightily over the last two weeks, and frustration is building all around the program. Seems like a week off is coming at just the right time for the Spartans.

Jones has played in all seven games for the Spartans this season, totaling eight tackles and two quarterback hurries on the year.
