If you’re a rookie and you’re out for a team dinner, you have to know it’s coming. When that bill hits the table, it has to be a given that it’s coming your way, especially at a nicer restaurant.

Former Iowa defensive tackle Carl Davis was that tradition’s latest victim.

Davis, now a rookie with the Baltimore Ravens, was stuck with this bill following a team meal:

That’s a big chunk of change for a guy that was only drafted in the third round. Sure, Davis will make $2.95 million in his first four years in the league. But it’s Christmas time, which means he’ll likely have family and friends expecting lavish gifts after his first season in the NFL.
