After a big upset win, coaches have a tendency to have an emotional moment or two in the postgame interview. Include Vanderbilt’s Derek Mason in that category, although his clip might be one of the best of the season.
Vanderbilt posted a 21-14 win over No. 22 Missouri on Saturday, getting just its second win of the college football season. The Commodores scored a go-ahead touchdown with just under 9 minutes play, which ended up being enough for the game.
For now, it removed Mason’s name from the hot seat list.
After the game, Mason was interviewed about the victory and asked about the status of his job security. Needless to say, he was pretty fired up about the win and the question, and provided a pretty incredible response. Below is the clip of Mason unleashing after the win:
