Kirk Herbstreit drops new Top 6 following Week 8 action

Kirk Herbstreit has updated his top six.
Every Sunday, the ESPN college football analyst releases his latest top six, highlighting the teams he believes are in contention for a spot in the College Football Playoff. After Week 8, Herbstreit has made some changes to his top six.
Here’s at who Herbie has in those six spots:
- Ohio State
- LSU
- Alabama
- Clemson
- Oklahoma
- Penn State
Herbstreit has two B1G teams in the mix, with Ohio State at the top. Penn State is on the outside looking in. The Buckeyes posted a 52-3 win over Northwestern and the Nittany Lions registered a 28-21 victory over Michigan.
Both teams are 7-0.
Wisconsin took a hit after falling to Illinois. Still, the B1G is in a pretty good spot as the College Football Playoff race continues to heat up.
