Minnesota and Maryland both started off 2019 with a 2-0 overall record.
The Gophers, however, didn’t exactly cruise through those first two games. Both ended in one-score differentials, while Maryland absolutely dominated both Howard and then-ranked No. 21 Syracuse.
Since that point, though, the two teams have had drastically different seasons. Minnesota has picked up its play and has looked like a much better football team — still not dropping a game — and is currently 7-0. Meanwhile, Maryland is 3-4, losing four of its last five games.

The two teams are set to meet on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET at Minnesota. Prior to the matchup, on Tuesday, Gophers coach P.J. Fleck talked about what he’s looking at going into the game.
Hint: He’s not taking the Terrapins lightly.
"They have had a lot of injuries, but they are getting a lot of those guys back this week. They are a good football team and they have proven that. They have explosive play makers everywhere." Coach Fleck on Maryland.

Maryland, as of Tuesday morning, appears to be getting its starting QB and starting RB back toward 100 percent for the game against the Gophers.
