Everyone thinks Chase Young deserves Heisman consideration with monster performance vs. Wisconsin

Coming into Week 9, most of the conversation surrounding the Ohio State-Wisconsin matchup was about the Ohio State offense and quarterback Justin Fields against the stout and angry Wisconsin defense.

But it was Ohio State defensive end Chase Young stealing the show. He completely wrecked the game plan for the Wisconsin offense, recording four sacks and two forced fumbles.

His four sacks and five tackles for loss tied Ohio State school records for an individual game per FOX Sports. With that type of performance, don’t be surprised to see Young now mentioned among the top Heisman Trophy candidates.

At least one Heisman voter is leaning towards casting his ballot for Young.

“I have a Heisman vote, and right now that man is at the top of my list,” FOX Sports play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson said during the Ohio State-Wisconsin broadcast.
