A lot of coaches won’t ever praise their players publicly because of the fear it will create complacency. Don’t count Ohio State coach Ryan Day part of that head coaching group.
After the Buckeyes knocked off the Wisconsin Badgers, 38-7, Day couldn’t have been much more complimentary of Ohio State defensive end Chase Young and running back J.K. Dobbins. First, he called Dobbins the “best running back in the country” and then said Young is “probably the most dominant player in college football.”

After both of those players’ performances against Wisconsin, they deserved the praise. Young led the Ohio State defense with four sacks, five tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.
Meanwhile, Dobbins carved up the previously considered elite Badgers run defense, rushing for 163 yards and averaging more than 8.0 yards per carry. With the victory, Ohio State improved to 8-0 this season.
Wisconsin dropped to 6-2 and now need some help in order to win the B1G West.
