Indiana defeated Nebraska on Saturday 38-31. But, it was much more than just any old seven-point victory.

The win pushed the Hoosiers to 6-2 on the season, making them bowl eligible before the calendar turns to November. Indiana has now won four of its last five games.

And this win against Nebraska was extra special.

Why? Because Nebraska’s staff reportedly disrespected Indiana’s program. We’re not sure exactly as to when or what the comments were that were made. We just know that something happened. Indiana AD Fred Glass said as much after the win over the Huskers.

On Monday, the media asked Hoosiers wide receiver Whop Philyor about the comments. He didn’t get into specifics:

This all remains a mystery and will probably stay as such. But, Nebraska “said some things they shouldn’t have said” and it definitely lit a fire under the Hoosiers’ belly.

Be careful what you say about the 6-2 Hoosiers.
