History to made at Indiana’s Memorial Stadium on Saturday

Indiana football is really making history this season.
It started on Saturday, when the Hoosiers defeated Nebraska 38-31, marking the first time the Hoosiers have beaten the Huskers since 1959. That win was the sixth of the season for IU, making it the first time the program had clinched bowl eligibility so early in the season since 1993.
Now, Indiana will return home this Saturday to host Northwestern and make even more history. This weekend’s game is scheduled to have a 7 p.m. ET kickoff. It will be the first time in the history of Memorial Stadium that the Hoosiers have hosted a night game in the month of November, according to Jim Coyle of Indiana Sports Talk.

Memorial Stadium opened in 1960.
So, in the nearly 60-year history of the stadium, this weekend will mark the first evening kickoff in the month of November. Just another accomplishment for Tom Allen and the Hoosiers this season.
Indiana is 6-2 on the season with four games to play. In addition to Northwestern, the Hoosiers have No. 5 Penn State, No. 14 Michigan and Purdue left on the schedule.
