Curious to know how college football teams would rank if the old BCS formula was still in place? So are we.
Fortunately, BCSKnowHow.com is still using the formula to run a simulation of what the BCS rankings would look like now that we’re entering the final month of the season. And with November on the horizon, there’s a brand new No. 1 in the rankings.
After a 38-31 victory over Wisconsin on Saturday, Ohio State is sitting at No. 1 using the BCS method. It trumps LSU, who was in the top seat a week ago. The Buckeyes were No. 2 in last week’s poll.
Ohio State is currently ranked No. 4 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and No. 3 in the Associated Press Poll. Four other B1G teams were also ranked in the top 16 spots: Penn State (No. 5), Minnesota (No. 13) and Michigan (No. 15).
Here are the full rankings, as shared by BCSKnowHow.com:
- Ohio State
- LSU
- Alabama
- Clemson
- Penn State
- Florida
- Oregon

- Utah
- Baylor
- Auburn
- Georgia
