Penn State is on a bye week for Week 10, but the Nittany Lions will have an important road trip in store for Week 11.
Coming out of the bye, James Franklin and company will travel to Minnesota for a game against the surprisingly undefeated Golden Gophers. The Nittany Lions will definitely be Minnesota’s toughest test so far this season, but PJ Fleck’s squad is confident and playing well.

Unfortunately, Penn State will be without one defender for the road trip. Franklin confirmed after Tuesday’s practice that defensive lineman Antonio Shelton has been suspended one game for his actions during the fourth quarter of the game at Michigan State.

It is a big loss for Penn State as Shelton has 2.5 tackles for loss and half a sack on the season while plugging up the middle of the line. Fortunately, Franklin indicated Robert Windsor and PJ Mustipher will be able to pick up some of the slack against the Gophers:
Franklin said that Robert Windsor and PJ Mustipher are capable of handling more reps in Antonio Shelton's absence as he serves a one-game suspension.
