Michigan CBs coach discusses Don Brown mixing up defenses, going with more zone coverage

Each year, Michigan’s defense ranks near the top of not just the Big Ten, but the entire country. The Wolverines always have a strong defense.

It may not get it done consistently against the great college football offenses, but then again, what defense does? Even Nick Saban’s incredible Alabama defenses can’t shut down teams like Clemson.

Earlier this week, Michigan cornerbacks coach Mike Zordich talked about how the Wolverines are playing more zone defense this season. He brought up how defensive coordinator Don Brown adds a little different flavor to the defense each week.

Michigan and its defense travel to take on Maryland this Saturday in what will be the Terrapins’ homecoming game at noon ET. The game will be televised on ABC.
