Minnesota is trying to pull out all the stops for Nov. 9.

Though idle for Week 10, the Golden Gophers will be returning to action with a big game next weekend. That matchup will be against James Franklin and Penn State in what should be a Top-15 showdown.

It is a matchup that has plenty of people buzzing, including Minnesota head coach PJ Fleck. He has already campaigned hard for ESPN’s College GameDay, though expectations are the popular pregame show will still decide to go to Tuscaloosa for LSU-Alabama.

For the special matchup, Minnesota is also urging fans to pull off a special environment in the stands. The university put out a release recently asking fans to wear maroon. That will help the fans match the players who will be wearing maroon pants and jersey with their unique gold chrome helmets.

Fans in attendance will also receive gold rally towels:

Minnesota is encouraging fans attending the game to wear all Maroon as well for this historic matchup. Every fan will receive a Gold rally towel when they enter the stadium courtesy of Cub, Coca-Cola, and the Star Tribune to match the team’s look for the battle of the unbeatens.

Next Saturday’s kickoff is set for 12 pm EST on ABC.
