Racing out to an early 10-0 lead at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, the Nebraska Cornhuskers benefited from outstanding field position when redshirt senior defensive tackle Darrion Daniels intercepted redshirt freshman Jack Plummer’s shovel pass and returned it down to the two-yard line.

Our own Dustin Schutte shared footage of Daniels’ return:

A four-star prospect in the 2015 class, Daniels spent his first four years with the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Graduate transferring to head coach Scott Frost’s program, he wasted no time making an impact in the locker room and was selected as one of the Cornhuskers’ team captains.

Looking to move back above the .500 mark, Nebraska (4-4) at Purdue (2-6) is currently airing on FOX with Tim Brando and Spencer Tillman on the call.
