What were the expectations for Indiana going into this season?

A bowl game? The Hoosiers don’t go to bowl games often. If Tom Allen were taking the program to the next level, consistent bowl appearances are essential.

Well, here we are in the first week of November and Allen has his team at 7-2 overall. Indiana is absolutely going bowling. No doubt about it.

Again, what were the expectations for this team? Were they to start the season at 7-2?

Absolutely not. Allen’s done a great job and everyone can see that. He’s getting national recognition. He’s being linked to jobs around the country now. One of those is Florida State.

The Seminoles absolutely have a bigger brand than the Hoosiers. That’s a fact. If Indiana wants to keep Allen in town, it better pay him well.

Indiana AD Fred Glass knows this, and according to Zach Osterman of the Indianapolis Star, Glass plans on making Allen’s contract a better one:

This, of course, is good news for Allen. He’s likely getting a raise and is deserving of one.

It’s just a matter of time as to when it gets finalized.
