Receiving the No. 1 spot in the initial College Football Playoff Top 25, the Ohio State Buckeyes are at the top of the college football world.

In his first year as the full-time head coach, Ryan Day is being careful to not allow his team to read too much into their recent successes.

Tony Gerdeman of The O-Zone and Bill Rabinowitz of The Columbus Dispatch shared some of Day’s comments from his weekly radio appearance on 97.1 The Fan on Thursday:

Edging out the No. 2 LSU Tigers (8-0) for the top spot, Ohio State (8-0) hosts Maryland (3-6) on Saturday at 12:00PM ET on FOX.

LSU travels to Tuscaloosa to battle the No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide (8-0) at 3:30PM ET as part of the SEC on CBS.
