Ohio State AD Gene Smith details process of Chase Young’s violation, suspension

The details of Chase Young’s suspension were revealed Wednesday with Ohio State receiving a bit of good news.

On Wednesday, it was announced that Young will be suspended for one more game before being eligible to return. That means he will miss games against Maryland and Rutgers as his two-game suspension for taking a loan from a family friend last year.

Later Wednesday evening, Ohio State AD Gene Smith held a press conference to weigh in on the process of Young’s violation and suspension. Smith said he would not discuss certain specifics of the case – including the dollar amount of the loan – but he did discuss a number of other details.

Smith also especially made it know that the accusations about Young did not come from a rival school – including Maryland, Penn State, or any other B1G school. Nathan Baird with Cleveland.com shared the highlights of Smith’s press conference:
