While it appeared the situation was trending this way, it is now being reported that Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa is indeed out for the season.
The situation began when Tagovailoa, the star quarterback for Alabama, suffered a hip injury in the game against Mississippi State. It was so bad, there were reports of Tagovailoa screaming in pain while down on the field. He was quickly carted off the field.
From there, it was reported that Tagovailoa was airlifted to a medical center in Birmingham, Alabama. There he underwent more testing.
Now, Aaron Suttles with The Athletic is reporting that Tagovailoa is out for the remainder of the season. The injury is now being reported as a dislocated hip with a fracture in the posterior wall.
